Eyepieces are the most common and essential accessory for telescopes. They determine the magnification and field of view of your telescope. Different eyepieces have different focal lengths, which determine their magnification power. Generally, the longer the focal length of the eyepiece, the lower the magnification, and the wider the field of view. Shorter focal length eyepieces provide higher magnification but narrower field of view.
